The Crown is coming to an end.

Netflix dropped a teaser trailer for the last ever series of The Crown yesterday, revealing that it’s going to be released in two parts.

The final season will pick up where it left off, covering the events that affected the British Royal family from 1997 right up to 2005.

The last season will look into the royal relationships that made headlines, from Princess Diana's controversial romance with Dodi Al Fayed to her son Prince William's blossoming relationship with Kate Middleton at university.

Imelda Staunton will return to play her role as Queen Elizabeth, as will Elizabeth Debecki as Princess Diana and Dominic West as Prince Charles.

Two different actors will portray William and Harry between Part 1 and Part 2, as the boys grow from teenagers to young men.

Meg Bellamy has been cast to play the role of Kate Middleton.

Part 1 of the show will cover the lead up to the car crash that tragically killed Diana and Part 2 will cover the aftermath and the events that followed.

Part 1 of the The Crown season finale will air on Netflix on the 16th of November and Part 2 will air on the 14th of December.
