FX has officially green-lit a fifth season of the acclaimed series The Bear, the hit culinary drama following Carmy (played by Jeremy Allen White) and his whirlwind ride running his late brother’s sandwich shop in Chicago.

The pick-up comes hot on the heels of Season 4’s premiere on 25 June and news that all four seasons are now streaming on Hulu .

Despite a slightly softer reception (Season 4 currently sits at 84% on Rotten Tomatoes), the show remains a certified crowd-pleaser, boasting a 93% overall rating. FX Chairman John Landgraf praised its global appeal and consistent high viewership, calling it a “fan favourite worldwide”. With 21 Emmys and multiple Golden Globes already under its belt, The Bear continues to dominate the awards circuit.

Season 4 ended on a dramatic cliffhanger: Carmy hands day-to-day control of the restaurant to Sydney, Richie, Natalie, and Uncle Jimmy, even as he steps back emotionally and financially. The burnout is real. The big question now? Can the restaurant surge forward without him—and will Carmy return to reclaim his passion... or walk away for good?

With filming expected to begin soon, we’re looking at a likely summer 2026 premiere—true to the show’s high-stakes, heat-of-the-kitchen style. Whether this turns out to be the final season or just another spicy chapter, fans are lining up for more of that raw, restless, and ridiculously gripping kitchen magic.
