Ireland’s Eurovision hopeful EMMY has officially kicked off her Eurovision journey – and she’s bringing the party to space!
The singer wowed fans and press alike with her first rehearsal in Basel, Switzerland, where she performed her disco-pop banger ‘Laika Party’ on the Eurovision stage for the very first time.
Rocking a full silver space suit (yes, really!), EMMY delivered a high-energy, cosmic-themed performance that featured slick choreography, trippy visuals and a colour-packed light show that matched the track’s infectious vibe.

‘Laika Party’ is inspired by the story of the Soviet space dog Laika, but make no mistake – this is no sad ballad. It’s a glittery, dancefloor-ready anthem with heart, and Eurovision fans have already been loving the chorus (and yes, the TikTok dance too).

She’s now gearing up for the second semi-final on 15th May, hoping to land a spot in the Grand Final on 17th May. Judging by that first rehearsal, she’s well on her way to making a serious impact.
