An investigation has been launched after the body of an unidentified man was found in the city.
The discovery was made at Spencer Bridge on Tuesday afternoon.
The Coroner has been notified and the body was removed from the scene to the City Mortuary, for a post-mortem exam.
It's understood foul play is currently not suspected, and Gardaí are asking anyone with information to come forward.
A garda spokesperson says: "Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the discovery of the body of an unidentified male at Spencer Bridge in Dublin 1 on Tuesday afternoon, 26th August 2025.
"The Coroner has been notified and the body was removed from the scene and taken to Dublin City Mortuary at Whitehall for a post-mortem examination to be carried out.
"Gardaí are appealing for anyone who has recently been in the Spencer Dock/Guild Street area and may have information to offer regarding this incident to make contact with investigating Gardaí.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Store Street Garda Station on 01 666 8000, the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station."
