Maura Higgins has joined the cast of Dancing On Ice. After weeks of rumours, the Love Island 2019 star officially announced the news on Instagram.
"Wow... I just can not contain my excitement", the Longford native wrote.
Speaking about joining the show, Maura revealed: "I've skated twice in my life just for fun, so I've no experience at all.
"I'm up for the challenge. I'm more excited than scared. I'm brave and competitive so I think that will drive me."
It was reported earlier this month that bosses had their eyes on Love Island winner Amber to appear on the series.
However, it later emerged that they changed their minds and wanted Maura instead.
Michael Barrymore will also appear on the new series of Dancing On Ice, which returns to our screens next year.
