A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman in Dublin 8.
Skaidrite Valdgeima was stabbed at an apartment in the Bonham Street area on Wednesday morning.
Emergency services found the 34-year-old at the Binary Hub Apartments with a number of stab injuries.
The mother of three was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
The 34 year old was originally from Latvia but had lived in Blessington for several years.
A 22 year old man today appeared in court charged with her murder.
Dressed in a grey sweatshirt and navy tracksuit bottoms, the court heard Valerijs Leitons made no reply when charged.
The Latvian national, with an address at St Kevins Gardens in Dartry, is due back in court next Friday.
In the meantime, he is to receive appropriate psychiatric and medical attention
