Woman Seriously Injured In North Dublin Shooting

A woman has been seriously injured after being shot in north Dublin.

A man is being questioned in connection with the gun attack.

A house was fired at at Shangan Park in Ballymun at around 2.30pm yesterday afternoon.

A woman in her 50s was hit and is being treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries. It's believed she sustained a head injury.

Gardaí arrested a man in his 20s a short time later in connection with the shooting.

He is being held at Ballymun Garda Station, where he can be questioned for up to three days.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information on the shooting to come forward.
