Temple Bar has been named the third biggest tourist trap in the world, with visitors calling it 'overpriced' and 'overrated'.
The research by Nomad found Dublin city's cobbled streets are more of a rip-off than Niagara Falls or the Eiffel Tower.
Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco in the US and Las Ramblas in Spain finish ahead of Temple Bar in the list, which looked at mentions of the term "tourist trap" in reviews.
Visitors to the lively Dublin area referenced dirty streets and a lack of safety and culture.
But Martin Harte from the Temple Bar Company says the area has plenty to offer, is safe and there's value to be had if people shop around;
"Temple Bar is probably one of the safest places in Ireland to be and that's referenced the number, you get an analysed footfall of about 25 million people and the incidents that happen are miniscule compared to other cities."
