Delivering Dublin's metro should be prioritised if Ireland is to remain competitive and attract people to work here.
That's according to the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland as part of its pre-budget submission.
On the back on Donald Trump's tariffs, the American Chamber of Commerce says competition for investment and talent “ is continuing to increase”.
It's warned the government needs to urgently address infrastructure gaps if it's to attract and grow foreign direct investment.
Along with more housing, it says projects like Metrolink and DART plus should be prioritised, according to the Irish Times.
It comes after billionaire businessman Dermot Desmond said AI will make the underground rail line obsolete within a number of years. Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary has also called on the government to scrap the multi-billion euro plan.
