Hackers Involved In HSE Attack Have Shared Data Online

The hackers at the centre of the HSE cyber-attack have shared people’s private and sensitive information online with a newspaper.

The Department of Communications says this is often done to try and pressure organisations into paying the ransom.

The HSE hackers have now shown their hand to prove they have people’s private medical information.

They showed the Financial Times 27 files in total with the personal records of 12 people.

They contained patient information, minutes of meetings and equipment purchase details.

The link has since been emptied

This is now significantly upping the pressure on the Government-which has repeatedly insisted it won’t pay the ransom which is reported to be 20 million dollars.

Security officials say they will try and identify any data leaks online and take measures to limit their exposure.
