A host of different protests will take place across the city today.

At 1pm, Sinn Féin is leading a protest against Government plans for the future of the GPO.

The party says the iconic building, central to the 1916 Easter Rising, should be preserved for cultural and historical use.

It also argues the space could support artists and small venues instead.

The government insists the revamp is part of wider efforts to revitalise the city centre.

Meanwhile, at half past 1, protestors will march through Dundrum over the war in Gaza.

They will call on the Government to enact the Occupied Territories Bill before the Dail summer recess.

The protest will kick off at Dundrum Luas Bridge.

Síomha Ní Aonghusa from People Before Profit says a number of speakers will address the protest:

"We have some brilliant speakers from Irish Healthcare Workers for Palestine and some Palestinian speakers who are very generously sharing their experiences with us."

At 2pm, a march is taking place in support of trans and intersex rights around the world.

Supporters are gathering at City Hall before making their way to the Dáil.

It's the sixth march of its kind in the capital.

Co-founder of Trans and Intersex Pride Dublin, Ollie Bell, says they want to draw attention to issues affecting both communities:

"We stand against the ongoing attacks against the trans and intersex community. We are marching for trans health care that is based on informed consent and the 'demedicalisation' of intersex bodies."
