Motorcyclist Killed In Crash In Collinstown

A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash.

The motorbike he was driving and a tractor-trailer collided on the Old Airport Road in Collinstown at ten to 11 this morning.

The man in his 60s was brought to the Mater Hospital where he has since been pronounced dead.

No -one else was injured - the road is closed and local diversions are in place.

A garda spokesperson says: "Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Collinstown, Co. Dublin this morning, Saturday 12th July, 2025.

"The collision involving a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer occurred on the Old Airport Road (Collinstown Lane) at approximately 10:50am.

"The motorcyclist, a male in his 60s, was brought to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital where he has since been pronounced deceased.

"No other injuries were reported.

"The road remains closed at this time to facilitate a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.

"Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

"Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 10:30am and 11:15am this morning are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Santry Garda Station on 01 666 4000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station."
