Dublin Continuing To Feel Impact Of Storm Barra

Dublin is continuing to deal with strong winds and heavy rain from Storm Barra as schools in the county are told to stay shut.

An orange wind warning was issued overnight for the capital, that was lifted at 7am.

A yellow wind and rain alert for the entire country will last until 6pm. While orange wind warnings are in place for Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo this morning.

The storm has led to the widespread disruption of hospital services and public transport.

Tens of thousands of homes and businesses are without power nationwide.

More than 500 ESB customers are in the dark in Dublin with the area around Ballsbridge worst affected.

Dublin Bus services are operating as normal this morning while Irish Rail says there's disruption at the M3 Parkway.
