Bus Éireann has confirmed that they will increase security at Busáras from this weekend.
The company now says they'll have an additional security guard at Busáras starting this Sunday.
Dermot O'Leary from the National Bus & Rail Union said "there's been a number of assaults at Busáras over the last number of months and only last week another serious assault on one of our colleagues".
It follows complaints from drivers, who threatened to withdraw from late-night services if security wasn't improved.
Just last week National Bus and Rail Union said they will refuse to pick up and drop off passengers after 8pm from 16th of September if there's no action taken.
