Calling all Hocus Pocus fans!

It's the news we've all been waiting for. Hocus Pocus 2 is finally happening.

Director Adam Shankman confirmed the news on Instagram.

Shankman, who previously directed Hairspray and A Walk To Remember, is currently directing Disenchanted, the sequel to Disney's 2007 live action princess movie Enchanted.

Although the original cast of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy are not yet confirmed to return, it's hoped they might reprise their original roles.

The film will be available on Disney's new streaming service, Disney+.

Hocus Pocus Trailer

Released in 1993, Hocus Pocus was originally directed by Kenny Ortega.

The story follows three wacky witch sisters who are resurrected from the dead on Halloween night in Salem.

It is then up to two teenagers, a young girl, and a cat to put an end to their reign of terror.
