New Christopher Nolan movie Tenet finally has a release date!

The hotly anticipated film is out in Irish cinemas on Wednesday 26th August.

The release date for the mysterious spy thriller was pushed out three time thanks to COVID-19.

However, Warner Bros Pictures have finally settled on an initial European release with America getting it on 3rd September.

The plot for Nolan's latest offering is a big secret.

He's revealed in interviews that he worked on the initial concept for ten years, spending five writing the screenplay.

What we do know is that the movie packed with Hollywood stars.

John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh make up just a handful of the ensemble cast.

From the trailers it looks like we're getting a time travelling adventure.

The official tagline reads: An operative (Washington) of the organisation known as Tenet is tasked with preventing World War III.

Tenet is out in Irish cinemas on Wednesday 26th August.
