Krispy Kreme is to open its second Irish outlet at the Central Plaza in the city centre.

The new fully glazed shop is due to open early next year when the Central Plaza project is completed.

Extending to 234m2 on the plaza with an additional 89mat sub plaza level, the strategically located unit will front onto both Dame Street and the popular pedestrian walkway linking Dame Street to Temple Bar.

Marking today’s announcement, Brian Moran, senior managing director of Hines, said:

“We are delighted that such an iconic brand as Krispy Kreme has chosen an equally iconic location as Central Plaza for its new flagship city centre location."

"Krispy Kreme will bring an exciting and beloved retail experience to a whole new customer base and will be perfectly located in the heart of Dublin."

"With the Central Plaza project now nearing completion, we’re looking forward to seeing Krispy Kreme serving up its iconic doughnuts to a very expectant customer audience here in the city centre very soon indeed".

Customer demand in Ireland for Krispy Kreme is among the highest in the world.

The chain's Blanchardstown outlet was earning average weekly revenues of almost €300,000 euro within its first year.
