ITV is handing the reins of a brand-new Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? spin-off to none other than Jeremy Clarkson— and they’re calling it Millionaire Hot Seat.
Think fast-paced, high-pressure quizzing where contestants rotate through a single "hot seat," with only one chance to climb the money ladder — and zero time to procrastinate. If you pass, you stay in the game but move to the back of the queue. Get a question wrong? You’re out and the top prize drops. That’s some serious strategy right there.
Shot in a snappy 30-minute format, Hot Seat will consist of 18 episodes starting filming in November 2025, aiming for a 2026 premiere. ITV’s also renewed the original format with 19 new regular episodes and seven celebrity specials, making room for even more Clarkson-led quizzing action.

Laura Rawcliffe from ITV revealed that Millionaire has already hit a whopping 18 million viewers this year, underscoring its enduring appeal — and Clarkson’s central role in keeping the brand brimming with energy.
This spin-off is being produced by Stellify Media, Jeremy’s quiz show creative partner, who describe Hot Seat as the cheeky little sibling to the original: sharper pace, quicker edits, and contests where thinking fast is king. Sounds like more of what we love — with Clarkson at the helm.
