Zig and Zag are making a comeback to RTÉ. Before we get too excited they won't be back like we remember them. Still though, the popular 90's duo will feature in a new animation series to celebrate the second birthday of RTÉjr.
The new series will air in 2016 and will run for 26 episodes for an under seven audience. Shelia de Courcy, RTÉ’s Cross-Divisional Head of Children’s Content, said: "RTÉjr viewers’ parents grew up with the original alien brothers and I know that Double Z, Flickerpix and JAM Media are going to replicate the fun and mayhem for children today in what’s shaping up to be a super series for 2016."
This pilot surfaced in 2012 so this is what we're likely to expect.
