The weather is getting warmer and we can't wait to start planning our Summer festivals.

There are so many great events happening this year and we've compiled a list of some of the best.

Whether you're looking to check out something new this year or want to keep the kids occupied during the school holidays.

There's something to suit the whole family!

Kaleidoscope

When: 28th - 30th June Where: Russborough Estate, Blessington

From the people behind Electric Picnic comes a brand new, family focused festival.

It's Ireland's first full family camping festival and it promises high energy, full colour entertainment over 15 stages.

Bell X1, Tom Odell, Wild Youth and The Riptide Movement are just some of the acts featured on the line up.

Body & Soul

When: 21st - 23rd June Where: Ballinlough Castle, Co. Westmeath

Body & Soul has a long-standing reputation as a family friendly festival.

The summer solstice festival has a dedicated family campsite and Soul Kids activities.

Little ones can enjoy live music and DJs, Yoga and Dance, Arts and Crafts, Science and Nature, Circus and Street Performers, Archery and active sports.

This year the festival celebrates it's 10th Anniversary so it's sure to be a brilliant weekend.

FunFest At Tayto Park

When: 29th - 30th June Where: Tayto Park

Already a favourite destination for families, Tayto Park is hosting it's own festival this year.

16 acts will play across 2 stages over the weekend, with each ticket including unlimited attractions and entry to the zoo!

The line up includes Key West, The Blizzards, Atomic Kitten, Nathan Carter, Boyslife and lots more.

KnockanStockan

When: 19th - 21st July Where: Wicklow

KnockanStockan is one of the original Irish festivals.

Located just outside Blessington, it's not too much of a journey from Dublin.

Knockan'Sprogs has a program full of events to keep the kids entertained, from Storytelling to an Open Mic Stage.

Beatyard

When: 3rd - 4th August Where: Dun Laoghaire Harbour

Just a short hop away from the city in the beautiful Dun Laoghaire, Beatyard has a lot to offer.

There's Eatyard for the foodies, Kidsyard for families and daily boat parties from the harbour.

The line up features Groove Armada, CHVRCHES, Jungle, Krystal Klear, Todd Terje, Grandmaster Flash and more.

Party In The Park

When: 26th May Where: Mondello Park 

Ireland's only internationally licensed race circuit is hosting a family fun day with super bikes and drifting racing displays.

Families can enjoy an inflatable fun zone, petting zoo, puppet shows, inflatable climbing wall, magicians, clowns, face painting and fun fare rides.

Playstival

When: 10th - 11th August Where: Airfield Estate

Playstival celebrates play, fun and imagination.

The two day, 100% interactive and ‘screen free’ summer festival takes place at Airfield Estate, Ireland’s largest urban farm.

Highlights include The Market for kids, sports and STEM workshops, arcade games, drama and dance, creative writing and storytelling, a live music stage and food village.
