There's always that one word that you just can't pronounce properly. A reddit user asked people to submit English they struggle to say. From the thousand odd replies he compiled the top ten words. Some of these have definitely had our tongues tied on a few occasions.
1. Worcestershire (wuss-ter-shire not wor-chester-shire)
2. Specific
3. Squirrel (squuuurrrrl or squirr-EL?)
4. Brewery (is it bru-ery or brurrrry... we give up!)
5. Phenomenon
6. Derby (darby)
7. Regularly (do you say that extra r?)
8. February (again a rogue 'r' in the middle throws this one up for debate)
9. Edited
10. Heir
We'd like to add some to the list though. Our Jeremy says he can't say prodigy. Deeno from The Ray Foley Show says she struggles with 'gangland'. Adrian says he can't say lorry and instead say 'lurry'. Another one from a Dublin point of view is Chaplelizod which some people call Chapelizard.
Any others you can think of - let us know!
