This is possibly one of the most random stories ever. A research centre in Costa Rica have identified a new species of frog who is a dead ringer for Kermit.
Known as Hyalinobatrachium dianae it's identifiable by some key traits such as its lime green flesh and its large Kermit-like eyes. Brian Kubicki, founder of the Costa Rican Amphibian Research Center told media he found the frog in the Talamanca Mountains.
No word yet on the whereabouts of Miss Piggy's doppelgänger.
