Great news, footy fans – Ted Lasso is officially back for a fourth season! Apple TV+ confirmed production began this week in Kansas City (Jason Sudeikis' hometown), before heading back to London.
The whole gang is back: Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, Juno Temple, Jeremy Swift—and Coach Beard’s Brendan Hunt—plus exciting new faces like Tanya Reynolds and Grant Feely, who’ll play an older Henry Lasso.
What’s the twist? After bidding farewell to AFC Richmond at the end of Season 3, Ted returns to coach a women’s Division II football team – marking a bold, fresh direction for the show. Jason teased it’s all about learning to “leap before they look”, signalling both the team and characters are taking big, unexpected steps.

Some fans might miss Jamie Tartt (Phil Dunster), who won’t appear as a series regular this time, but there's reassurance many of our favourite characters—Rebecca, Roy, Keeley, Higgins—are back on board. And with Grant Feely stepping into the role of Henry, expect some heartfelt dad-and-son storytelling too.
While there’s no official release date yet, insiders expect Season 4 to land on Apple TV+ in early-mid 2026, following the usual year-long production cycle. Whether it’s a surprise return or a lovely revival, the heartwarming world of Ted Lasso is gearing up for another knockout season.
