Chris Evans has confirmed he'll front a new series of TFI Friday. We can expect a eight part series later this year, after the hugely successful anniversary special this month.
Announcing the news on Twitter, the Top Gear host says he's so excited he may 'spontaneously explode'.
As well as presenting Top Gear and TFI Friday, Chris is expected to continue hosting his BBC radio show. He replaces Jeremy Clarkson on the motor show, after he was dropped in March for punching a producer while filming on location.
An "all-new" line-up means Clarkson's co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May are unlikely to be involved.
TFi Friday is indeed coming back for a short but perfectly formed run of eight shows pre Christmas. Tx dates soon .Plus audience information
