A new lead is being investigated as the search continues for an Icelandic tourist, who disappeared in Dublin city centre.

Last Sunday February 9th marked a year since Jon Jonsson went missing. He was last seen on the Swords Road close to the junction with Collins Avenue at 11.07am.

The 41 year-old was on holiday with his fiancee at the time and was staying at the Bonnington Hotel, where a poker tournament was taking place.

Private Investigator, Liam Brady, has been hired by his family. He believes there are people that know what happened.

The PI says he wants to speak with someone who is currently in jail abroad;

"At the moment I believe that there is a possible, it's not a breakthrough, but something has come to light that I now within my ongoing inquiries, wish to interview someone who is somewhere incarcerated abroad."
