People using indoor dining will have to give their contact details as well as presenting a Digital Covid Cert from Monday.

New guidelines have been agreed between the Government and industry representatives.

People will have to present proof of vaccination or recovery, separate ID and provide contact tracing details.

Tánaiste Leo Varadkar says eventually it's the intention to allow people dine indoors if they've a negative PCR or antigen test, but it will be some time before that happens:

"We don't have a date for its implementation yet, probably will take a couple of weeks and I think there's a strong sense certainly in Government and certainly the advice that we're getting from Nphet, that we should go very carefully around any further easing of restrictions at least until the Delta wave peaks, and that should be in a few weeks time."
