Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a shooting in Darndale two weeks ago.

It happened at Primrose Grove on Thursday May 14th.

Shortly after 9pm, Gardaí arrived on the scene and discovered a motorbike on fire.

A short time later, a man in his late teens turned up at Beaumont Hospital with apparent gunshot wounds and non-life threatening injuries.

A full forensic examination of the area was carried out. No arrests have been made to date.

Gardaí are asking anyone who was in the Marigold Avenue, Priorwood Road or Malahide Road areas between 8pm and 10pm that night to come forward.

They would also like to speak to people who may have been on Ardlea Road, Kilmore Road or Ardcollum Avenue.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Coolock Garda Station on 01 666 4200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
