Netflix has released the first official image from House of Guinness, its eagerly anticipated period drama created by Steven Knight, the mastermind behind Peaky Blinders.
The series premieres across all eight episodes on 25 September 2025.
Set in the 19th century, House of Guinness explores the seismic fallout following the death of patriarch Sir Benjamin Guinness. His will sets off a dramatic chain reaction among his four adult children—Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben—as they grapple for control over the family’s brewing empire, while the broader Dublin and New York communities reel from the shifting power dynamics.

The cast features a largely Irish ensemble. Anthony Boyle stars as Arthur, Louis Partridge as Edward, Emily Fairn as Anne, and Fionn O’Shea as Benjamin. James Norton joins as Sean Rafferty—self-described as “the most Irish of them all,” despite being the only non-Irish actor in the core cast. The line-up also includes Jack Gleeson, Danielle Galligan, Niamh McCormack, Dervla Kirwan, Michael McElhatton, Seamus O’Hara, David Wilmot, and Hilda Fay.
Knight said the Guinness dynasty offered a “rich tapestry” of wealth, power, tragedy and influence—elements he’s long been fascinated by and is excited to bring to life on screen.
