Get ready for a sci-fi adventure of epic proportions! Ryan Gosling plays Ryland Grace, a humble middle-school science teacher who inexplicably wakes up aboard a spaceship—light years from home—with no memory of how he got there.

He soon discovers he’s on a one-man mission to save the dying Sun and, by extension, all life on Earth.

The brand-new trailer drops us straight into Gosling's cosmic chaos: long hair, confused expressions and that classic Gosling charm as he repeatedly tells everyone, “I’m not an astronaut”!. Yet despite his protests, he steps up—solo, stranded and fully responsible for the planet’s fate.

What really blows the mind? Ryland ends up befriending an unexpected alien buddy—affectionately nicknamed Rocky—and the pair strike up an unlikely friendship that mixes humour and heart with mind-bending interstellar stakes. It’s the perfect sci‑fi mash‑up: think The Martian meets E.T. with a sprinkle of Gosling’s wit.

Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (Spider‑Verse) and scripted by Drew Goddard (The Martian), Project Hail Mary is set for theaters (and IMAX!) on 20 March 2026. If that trailer’s anything to go by, this is one space saga that’s officially out of this world.
