Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery has become Netflix's 3rd most watch film ever.

The film, which is a sequel to the film Knives Out (2019), reached the 3rd spot on Netflix's most-watched list a mere 10 days after it was released on the platform.

It's managed to rack up a staggering 209.4 million hours watched over the Christmas period.

Just like the original released in 2019, Glass Onion was written and directed by Rian Johnson, who took inspiration for the films from the works of Agatha Christie .

The first Knives Out film featured an entirely different cast to its sequel Glass Onion, bar the protagonist Benoit Blanc, played by Daniel Craig.

With Benoit Blanc slotting himself into a group of fresh faces with a fresh mystery in each film, the format gives the Knives Out series a chance to produce completely new movies every time.

The film is getting rave reviews, with an impressive 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Opinion is divided though, with many reviewers comparing the two films and favouring the original over the newest release.
