A man is due in court this morning in connection with the murder of Michael Tormey in Ballyfermot.
The 49 year-old was gunned down in the front garden of his house on Thomond Road in the early hours of Sunday January 9th.
A man in his 40s, who was arrested in connection with the killing, was charged yesterday.
He is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice at 10.30 this morning.
A 39 year-old woman, who was also arrested in connection with the shooting, has been released without charge.
A file is to be prepared for the DPP.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
