10 staff members have been injured over a 10-day period at Oberstown Children Detention Centre in Dublin.
It comes as Fórsa reports a "string of violent incidents" at the facility this month.
The union is warning of critical staff shortages and a growing safety risk on the campus.
One worker has been left with life-changing injuries after their face was slashed.
Media Relations Director, Niall Shanahan says there’s been no meaningful response from management, despite repeated warnings:
"Oberstown management require that individual staff members that have been subject to an assault report the incident to the Gardai. Oberstown management do not report incidents that take place on the campus and I think that reflects an unwillingness to engage with the reality of what their staff are facing."
