Now, I'm not personally of the Valentine's Day persuasion meself. I was MORTIFIED when my first boyfriend bought me a single rose for the occasion back in 1998, and I haven't changed how I feel since. But I'm not knocking Valentine's Day either, and I love a good excuse to buy a new outfit. So I asked The Style Fairy to put together three ensembles for a few different dating scenarios. They each come in at under a hundred quid, including shoes. Now for yis!

Dress €29.99 H&M ¦ Clutch €11.99, Earrings €4.99, Heels €24.99 New Look

If you're lucky enough to get a dinner reservation this weekend (given the day that's in it!), this dress is perfect. The bold print means its flashy, but not overdone. The body con shape means its figure hugging and sexy, but the high neckline keeps it classy. Finish the look with simple black heels, studs and a clutch.

Blazer €29.99, Top €9.99, Heels €29.99 New Look ¦ Jeans and Bag both €9.99 H&M ¦ Necklace €17 River Island

Maybe you're not seeing each other that long and you're doing a cinema date instead of the whole dinner thing. You want to look cute but not like you've tried too hard. This outfit is perfect. The floral blazer is on trend but not too OTT. Wear it with skinny jeans, a top and a chunky necklace for some added edge. Finish the look with these chic pointy heels. Ta-dah! On a side note... it's possible the Fifty Shades movie is not the right film if you're only seeing each other a short while. AWKWARD!

Crop Top €7.99, Heels €29.99 New Look ¦ Pencil Skirt €33, Necklace €26 River Island ¦ Clutch €7.99 H&M

Maybe you're doing a Muireann O'Connell and having a Galentine's Celebration (a Valentine's-girls-night-on-the-town type of shindig). It's not just for the single ladies, it's for anyone who wants to point and laugh at the cringiest of couples. This power-outfit will do just the trick. The super sexy black crop top and high waisted pencil skirt combo spells COCKTAILS. This pencil skirt is amazing on, the fit is incredible and creates a gorgeously feminine silhouette. The gold zip detail brings the sexy, but for some added glam; pop on this gorgeous chunky two-tone necklace and finish with some killer heels and a clutch!

Now go and enjoy yisser Saturday plans be they restaurant-based or otherwise. And I don't know why, but I just can't help thinking of Chandler in Friends telling Monica "Just because he buys you dinner doesn't mean you owe him anything!!"
