Travel experts at Paris Ticket & Tours have created a list of the most popular cities in the world to pop the question.
They compiled their analysis by calculating the total of proposal-related hashtags for each city, and the final ranking was then determined by the capitals with the highest amount of posts hashtagged.Ā
Lisbon is first on the list, with a total of 1,049,944 proposal-related hashtags. The Portas do Sol viewpoint is infamous for proposals, and the BelƩm Tower and Gardens is another popular location in the capital to pop the question.

In second place is London, with a total of 1,026,528 proposal-related hashtags.Ā
The London Eye is an iconic tourist destination to pop the question, and the Kyoto Garden is also known to be a romantic spot for couples.Ā Ā Ā

Surprisingly not top of the list,Ā Paris comes in at 3rd with a total of 1,011,970 proposal-related hashtags.Ā Ā
The Eiffel Tower is a go-to proposal destination, but other couples may opt to pop the question whilst on a romantic cruise along the river Seine.Ā Ā Ā
Ā Berlin is fourth on the list, with 549,300 proposal-related hashtags. One of the most popular spots for popping the question in Berlin is Charlottenburg Palace.
