Gardaí are trying to establish a motive following two murders in Dublin, within 24 hours of each other.

A man in his 20's - Jordan Davis - was shot dead while pushing a buggy on the Marigold Road area of Darndale at four o'clock yesterday afternoon.

On Tuesday night, 22-year-old Sean Little from Coolock was found dead beside a car on fire at Walshestown near Balbriggan.

It's understood the two men were friends.

Crime editor of The Sun Stephen Breen says detectives are working to establish if the two murders are linked: 'It's one area of the investigation that the Gardai will look at.

'They will look at the possibility that they may have owed money to other gangs.

'Gardai will put their investigation together and look at the possibility that they may be linked. And try to establish a motive.'
