Now this is an idea!

There’s no doubt East 17 will always be best known for their track 'Stay Another Day', which was Christmas No.1 in the year it came out.

And despite having no references to Christmas or the holiday season in the lyrics, the song is regarded as a festive classic. Probably thanks to the carolling bells featuring towards the end and the iconic white puffer jackets worn by the lads in the music video.

Now, nearly 30 years later, the lads have decided to capitalise further on their winter hit, and bring back East 17 for a very special service - doorstep performances!

That’s right, East 17 are giving people living in the UK the opportunity to book a session with East 17, and the lads will arrive at the door in their puffer jackets to serenade them.

And it's completely free! But it's based on a lottery system. People can apply for a private performance and a ticket will be released every day from today until 12pm on December 15, with the tour coming to Manchester on the December 18 and London on the December 19.

There's a catch though. Unsurprisingly, not every member of the original East 17 line-up is involved.

In fact - there's only one!

Terry Caldwell is the only member of the original group taking part in this initiative, joined Robbie Craig and Joe Livermore who've been part of East 17 since 2014 and 2019 respectively.

A gas idea nonetheless 😅
