In a move that’s as iconic as his rap career, Snoop Dogg has officially joined the ownership team at Swansea City AFC.

The 53‑year‑old entertainer and football lover has taken a minority stake in the Championship club, stepping into the fold right alongside Croatia legend Luka Modrić, who joined back in April.

During the launch of Swansea’s 2025‑26 home kit last weekend, Snoop donned the classic white strip—which really caught the eye. He said he’s drawn to Swansea’s working‑class roots and underdog spirit, and vowed to do everything he can to support “his YJBS” (that’s the fans, by the way).

Club CEO Tom Gorringe couldn’t hide his excitement, calling Snoop’s global profile a major asset in helping Swansea grow commercially—and spread their reach internationally. There’s even talk of a fun new mural of Snoop headlining the stadium’s West Stand to mark his arrival.

This high-profile addition ramps up celebrity involvement in football—just like Ryan Reynolds’ takeover of Wrexham or Tom Brady’s stake in Birmingham City. With Snoop now on board and Modrić too, Swansea is aiming for fresh energy both on and off the pitch—and maybe even a bit of “Doggumentary” magic to go with it.
