She's starred in movies like La La Land and Easy A, and she just recently won an Oscar for her role in Poor Things, but now all Emma Stone wants is to be called by her real name.
The-35-year-old actress was born Emily Jean Stone, but changed her name to Emma Stone when she entered the movie business as there was already an actress with the name Emily Stone.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, her The Curse costar Nathan Fielder repeatedly referred to her as 'Emily', prompting the interviewer to ask whether anyone else in the industry called her by that name.
"When I get to know them, people that I work with do," the actress admitted.
"I freaked out a couple of years ago", she continued, "For some reason, I was like, 'I can’t do it anymore. Just call me Emily."'
She was also asked whether she'd correct a fan who called her 'Emily' instead of 'Emma'.
"No," the actress replied, "That would be so nice. I would like to be Emily."
Well there you have it. If you ever see Emma Stone walking down the street be sure to say "Hello Emily" to her!
