Lady Gaga has been named the Woman of the Year by Billboard. She'll be celebrated at the Women in Music event in New York on December 11.
Lifetime will air highlights of the night, with executive vice president Liz Gateley saying: 'Lady Gaga is an extraordinary artist, emblematic of the strength, courage and fortitude that Lifetime celebrates, and we are thrilled to offer our platform to recognise her in every way she deserves.'
Afterwards Gaga tweeted: 'I can't believe @billboard named me Woman of the year thank you so much. I am so so so so grateful. My gosh good morning!'
Previous winners include Taylor Swift, Pink and Beyonce.
