Looking for something to do this weekend? There are plenty of cool events on in the city over the coming days. 

We've teamed up with Dublin Gazette to bring you the best of what's on in Dublin. 

Taste of Dublin - Iveagh Gardens, Thursday-Sunday

The shining gem in the crown of food festivals in the city returns to the Iveagh Gardens this weekend. This year, a range of stalls and chefs alike will exhibit their finest skills and offerings at the Harcourt Street venue. There will also be a range of alcoholic offerings available for those of age, as well as the chance to watch the final of the World Class Bartender of the Year competition which features Alan Petrovic from Dublin’s own Urchin. Whether you’re a fan of cocktails, gin or old-fashioned whiskey, there’s set to be something for everyone in the alcohol department at Taste.

A Massive Night of Gigs on Friday

There are four big gigs taking place in this city this Friday.

The National take over Donnybrook Stadium for two nights this weekend (Friday and Saturday. There's still a limited number of tickets left for Friday's gig. 

Liam Gallagher plays Malahide Castle (tickets from €50), with the mighty Mancunian, our kid – if anyone’s called him that in years – bringing his distinctive voice to town.

Flight of the Conchords land at the 3Arena (tickets from €86), bringing their dynamic duo stylings to a stadium setting, where they’ll no doubt treat Dubs to one of their famous live, comedy-strewn performances.

Taylor Swift brings her Reputation Stadium Tour to Croke Park (tickets from €74.50). One of the biggest stars in pop comes to town for two nights, bringing all the stadium-ready hits at the heart of ‘big gig’ season; let her shake off your stress.

The Eatyard Crisp Festival - Eatyard/The Bernard Shaw

Ireland's first ever crisp festival comes to Eatyard and The Bernard Shaw from Thursday 14th to Sunday 17th June. This four-day crisp homage will bring together all your old favourites and the most extensive crisp menu you’ve probably ever seen.

Pop ups across the weekend will include Brennans Bread Crisp Sandwich Station, O’Donnell’s Crisps fairground games and a cheeky chipper Hunky Dory’s style. There'll also be a crisp inspired art exhibition in The Bernard Shaw, put together by Bex McNally.

The event is free in but buying an advance ticket for €10 guarantees you entry, gets you €10 Eatyard vouchers and a packet of crisps and a can on arrival.

Welcome To Stoneybatter Exhibition - Belfry Bar

Carolyn Walsh, a Kerry native residing in Dublin for the past decade takes a bright look at the up-and-coming Dublin 7 area in her latest collection.

'Welcome to Stoneybatter' is an exhibition that takes a colourful look at iconic shops, pubs and cafes in the area. Using a mixture of painting, collage and transfers in a series of 20+ paintings and limited edition prints.

The launch night takes place this Friday from 6-8pm in Belfry Bar, Stoneybatter, Dublin 7 and the exhibition runs until July 2nd.

The Camden Backyard, Camden St - Friday & Saturday

Is there anything better than chilling out in your back garden with a cider in the sunshine? You'll be able to do just that in the city centre this weekend thanks to Kopparberg.

'Kopparberg presents The Camden Backyard' takes place in a hidden venue off Camden Street from June 14th-16th. 

The summer party will feature an adult ball pool, Koppar-cocktails, Kopparberg slushies and ice-cream, comedians, food trucks, live hip hop and RnB performances.

Fantastic Mr Fox, dlr Mill Theatre – 13 to 24 June

Following on from the sell-out success of Summer 2017’s James & the Giant Peach, this year, Mill Productions will be bringing another Roald Dahl Classic to the stage. Fantastic Mr Fox plays from Wednesday to Sunday, June 13 to 24 2018 at the dlr Mill Theatre in Dundrum Town Centre. Directed by Geoff O’Keeffe, with Matthew O’Brien as Mr Fox and Evelyn Shaw as Mrs Fox and a supporting cast, it’s suitable for all ages four plus. Book early to avoid disappointment. Bloomsday, City Centre – Saturday

The final day of this year’s Bloomsday Festival will see a jam-packed schedule this Saturday, June 16th. Celebrating Bloomsday itself, there’s a number of guided tours of the famous spots in Ulysses already sold out as many travel to Dublin for a glimpse of life in the Era of James Joyce. There’s also set to be a Bloomsday Breakfast, an afternoon tea, bus tours, body painting and more. At Wolfe Tone Square, there will also be a gathering for readings of Joyce as well as a sing-a-long.
