Nicky Byrne Returns to Eurovision Stage as Ireland’s Spokesperson

Nicky Byrne is set to return to the Eurovision spotlight, this time as Ireland’s spokesperson for the 2025 Grand Final in Basel, Switzerland.

The Westlife star will announce the Irish jury’s points during Saturday night’s show, bringing his signature charm back to the contest.

Byrne is no stranger to Eurovision. He represented Ireland in 2016 with his song “Sunlight” and has previously delivered the jury votes in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2018. His return adds a familiar face to the Irish presence at this year’s competition.

Ahead of tonight’s second semi-final, Byrne sent his well-wishes to Ireland’s 2025 entrant, EMMY, who will perform her track “Laika Party.” He expressed pride in her representing the nation and encouraged everyone to support her performance.
