There is every imaginable genre available – drama, comedy, animation, music videos, narrative stories, documentaries and horror, to appeal to all tastes.

The festival is billed as an aid to ‘help build crucial cultural bridges and enhance networking opportunities within the creative industries.’

It will take place in Cineworld on Parnell Street and The Sugar Club, with more information available from disfmf.ie.

This free, family-friendly event will showcase some of Ireland’s best musical talent and street performance.

Open to all, there’s something for everyone as a variety of street performers, such as rock bands, singers, choirs and rap artists and much more take over this central venue.

Visitors can discover their new favourite performers and watch as one act is chosen as the winner of The Dublin Busker Fleadh.

Spice World 21st Anniversary Screening

To celebrate the 21st birthday of what has been regularly referred to as one of the most important films of a generation, Lighthouse Cinema will be hosting a one-off screening of Spiceworld this Saturday!

Join Geri, Emma, Victoria and the two Mels on a double decker adventure of a life time as they prepare for the biggest concert of their lives at the Royal Albert Hall.

Fancy Dress is encouraged to ‘spice up your life’ for the night, but is entirely optional.

Tickets are available now from the Lighthouse Cinema website.

Aretha vs The Divas singalong social

Unleash your inner diva and celebrate the legendary life of Aretha Franklin upstairs at MVP on Clanbrassil Street in Dublin 8 on Sunday 7th of October.

The night is part of the ‘singalong social’ series, a zero-commitment choir designed for people who can’t sing. You don't have to practice, you don't have to know the words and you don't even need to be able to sing. It's just about singing along to your favourite songs in the company of friends and strangers.

As well as celebrating Aretha, every other diva you can think of will be revelled on the night, including Mariah, Celine, Christina, George, Freddie, Diana Ross, Beyoncé, Adele, Gaga, Barbara Streisand, Elton, and more.

Tickets are €6 + booking fee online or €10 on the door on the night. Doors open at 7.30pm and singing will kick off around 8.30pm, with organisers saying you'll be heading off home full of soul and Diva vibes by 10.30pm.

There will be prizes for the best worst singers and those serving Diva Realness on the night, and 20% of proceeds will be donated to Focus Ireland.
