Chris Evans says the new look Top Gear will have a female co-host. So far there's no word on who that will be but Jodie Kidd, Clare Balding and Suzi Perry have been linked to the show.
Last night, Chris Evans was confirmed as the new presenter.
He says he received texts from both Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond wishing him well. Chris says Jeremy's said 'I knew you would and best of luck'. Jeremy apparently gave him some advice which Chris wouldn't disclose.
He also read out a text from Richard which read: "You were designed and built for that job and it will be great. It was also always the BBC's very best option if you take it up, and I certainly don't blame you for doing so. Good luck. Richard."
Chris hasn't confirmed who his co-hosts will be, but he says he'll meet with James May this afternoon because they have some things to talk about.
