In most households, kids have a very special way of delaying their bedtime with a variety of different tricks. Netflix recently conducted some research to find out what the best bedtime delay tactics used by kids are. From their research, parents admitted that it takes nearly 20 minutes every night to negotiate with their children to go to bed. Some of the excuses used were, "my hair hurts", "wait, I have to put my pet rock to bed first" and asking questions such as how electricity works and how to say XX in German.

Also noted by Netflix were excuse such as, "you didn't kiss my other cheek and now it's sad" and “I hate the inside of my eyelids”. Some are a bit more elaborate like pretending to be married to the cat or saying that they can hear one of their teddies crying.

You have to hand it to them, they're fairly creative. But now, Netflix are giving parents and guardians a clever way to work around these tactics.

Netflix have launched special 5 minute long Dinotrux shorts to help parents get their kids to go to bed. They have this suggestion, to offer the children one last show before bed and put on one of the Dinotrux shows, from the new series on Netflix.

It's a win win situation, the kids think they are getting away with murder, and you know you only have to wait 5 more minutes until it's their bedtime. The show will end and voilà, time for bed, fair and square.

Netflix have come up with this diagram to find out which bedtime staller your kid is.
