The stars and director of 'Mary Magdalene' will attend the Audi Dublin International Film Festival later this month.
Rooney Mara, Joaquin Phoenix and director Garth Davis are set to light up the red carpet at the gala screening of the film, which takes place at the Savoy Cinema, Dublin at 18.30, Wed 28th Feb.
Set in the Holy Land in the first century, 'Mary Magdalene' is the story of a young woman who leaves her small fishing village and family to join a new movement. Inspired by its charismatic leader, Jesus of Nazareth, and his teachings, Mary sets out with the disciples on the journey to Jerusalem, where she finds herself at the centre of the founding story of Christianity. The film is released in cinemas nationwide on 16th March.
'Mary Magdalene' is an exciting new addition to this year's Audi Dublin International Film Festival (21st Feb-4th March), which also includes 6 World Premieres, well over 100 Irish Premieres, and Immersive Stories, an innovative Virtual Reality conference.
