Imelda May is heading back to the stage at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre this summer, reprising her powerful role in Mother of All the Behans.

The one-woman show, which previously played to packed houses, is set for a limited run from Tuesday 29th July to Saturday 2nd August 2025.

Based on the life of Kathleen Behan – the formidable mother of Brendan Behan – the play brings her fascinating story to life with a mix of wit, grit, and heart. Adapted and directed by Peter Sheridan, with additional touches from Rosaleen Linehan, it’s a celebration of one of Dublin’s most iconic matriarchs.

Imelda shines in the role, blending storytelling with music to capture the essence of a woman who helped shape Irish culture. Audiences have been raving about the emotion and energy she brings to the stage – and this summer's return is already creating buzz.

Tickets start from €21.50, and with the show’s past success, it’s likely to sell out again. A must-see for fans of Dublin history, Irish theatre, and one of the country’s most beloved performers.
