Magic Mike and the gang are back, for one night only and it does not disappoint.

If you've seen the first instalment of Magic Mike, or even if you have just seen the posters, you'll know what to expect from Magic Mike XXL. That's right, male strippers. What you're probably not expecting is a fun, light-hearted boys adventure, which brings a group of friends closer together through dance.

There are some laugh out loud moments with much more of a storyline, compared to the 2012 movie. Joe Manganiello has one scene in particular that had the whole cinema in stitches. It involves a packet of Cheetos, a bottle of water and a confused looking shop assistant.

There's obviously still a lot of male dancing, a lot t-shirts getting ripped off and women screaming, but it's more about the main characters than their performance.

Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello, Adam Rodriguez, Matt Bomer and Kevin Nash are back in the hotly anticipated sequel and even though there has been a 3 year gap they are still equally as chiseled. Matthew McConaughey is missing from the line-up but you get over that within the first 5 minutes.

Some great additions to the film are Jada Pinkett Smith, Amber Heard and Andie MacDowell. Jada is a business woman who Channing Tatum's character used to work/dance for, while Andie MacDowell becomes a love interest for one of the guys.

The movie gets a big thumbs up from me. It's a bit of fun, with a good storyline and the obligatory eye candy that goes with a male stripper movie.

The music throughout the movie was unreal and not too cheesy. Definitely worth picking up a copy of the soundtrack. Some great tunes in there.

  1. Pony - Ginuwine
  2. Ain't There Something Money Can't Buy - Nick Waterhouse
  3. I Want It That Way - Backstreet Boys
  4. Freek'n You - Jodeci
  5. Sex You - Bando Jonez
  6. Feel It - Jacquees feat. Rich Homie Quan and Lloyd
  7. Give It To The People - The Child of Lov
  8. Untitled (How Does It Feel) - Matt Bomer
  9. Marry You - Donald Glover
  10. Anywhere - 112
  11. All The Time - Jeremih feat. Lil Wayne and Natasha Mosley
  12. Cookie - R. Kelly
  13. Gooey - Glass Animals
  14. Heaven - Matt Bomer

Magic Mike XXL hits cinemas nationwide from July 3rd.
