Irish artist Maser is opening a brand new gallery space in the city next week.

Atelier Maser, located on Charlemont Street, will open to the public on the 7th December with an exhibition of work by upcoming artist Peter Doyle.

The new venue is described as 'a dedicated gallery space for artists transitioning or adding an extra dimension to their work format from the street whilst also providing a platform for art lovers to be able to own some of the work of the artists whose work they encounter and love on their commute and daily journeys around the city'.

Speaking about the project, Maser commented: “I could have just opened a studio and painted but I have bigger ambitions for both myself and the thriving street art community in Ireland.

As Atelier Maser grows I’d hope that we can open minds within the art world whilst bringing joy to the myriad of art lovers around the world who appreciate the wealth and volume of contemporary work coming out of Ireland right now.

I get excited when I see promising talent and want to show young artists that success comes in many forms, and to ultimately help them achieve that success.  And, as someone who hasn’t followed a traditional route with my career, I want to show people that you don’t need a business degree to do well and be a success, whatever that looks like for each person.”

Atelier Maser will open to the public on 7th Dec 6pm-9pm and every Thurs – Sat thereafter.
