Loving the sunnier days lately? Well, don't get upset when we break it to you that those bright evenings are already about to start getting shorter.

The Summer Solstice will take place this Sunday, after which the days begin to get shorter and shorter until we fall into a dark and damp winter (sorry).

But before we drag you down too much, the good news is there are many bright days ahead - and to be honest, the best of Ireland's summer tends to come in the later months of the season.

What makes lying around in the sunshine better? Good music of course, and this weekend Body & Soul will paint the perfect backdrop to a summer's night.

The festival will take place at Ballinlough Castle in Co. Westmeath, with headline acts like Leftfield and Tiga. The infamous Mother Club DJs will also be leaving Dublin to make sure crowds have their disco-fab quota filled.

If you're heading along, there are buses running from, and back to, Dublin across the weekend.

If you're planning to drive, you can find the best directions here.

If you need to collect tickets, it's Gate A1 you're looking for, but if you already have your tickets just follow the signs for Gate A2.

There are a number of campsites dotted around the castle, and you are allowed to bring a certain amount of alcohol in with you - but it must be in plastic bottles.

Unlike some other festivals, Body & Soul's Free Flow policy means security won't stop you from bringing your favourite tipple from the campsite into the main arena.

The good news is, it doesn't look like you'll need to pack your wellies.

According to the guys at YR, temperatures are going to hover around the 15-18 Celsius mark, and there's going to be very little rain.
