The third series of First Dates Ireland returned to our screens last night. Viewers were left cringing after witnessing an awkward moment between two daters.
Dubliner Amy McLaughlin and Englishman Ben O’Nolan seemed to be having a good time until the matter of who was paying for dinner came up.
After getting the bill from the waitress, Amy suggested the pair split the payment which Ben agreed to.
However, in Amy's interview after the date, she admitted that she expected the man to foot the bill on the first date.
